Page thumbnail

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way that you can change the thumbnail of your webpage in the pages tab. Currently my page still has the image of the template one.

  • Sure thing! You can simply move to the edit mode of your Website>Dashboard>Site Settings, scroll down and find the "Favicon" and change it to the desired pic.

Keep in mind that this feature is not available on a free plan.

  • Hi all,

Thanks for this thread. I can definitely say that here are the most important 2 points that might interest you!

    1. The screenshots are generated when you go to a page in Edit mode and do a change there. The system then fires an event and our screenshot service takes the latest screenshot

    2. In some cases these page thumbnails are used as an Open Graph images when posting the page to the social media. When you update the OG image of a specific page from the SEO app, the system overrides the page thumbnail immediately.

I will pass this to the product team to check if there is smth wrong with your website that stops new screenshot to generate.

    Best of luck,

    Gev

  • I am having the same issues as stated above. I have gone into the SEO app and manually added a screenshot of my current page into the image in the page menu, however that has not corrected the issue. I have been continually making edits to all of my pages in edit mode but none have automatically updated their screenshots from the template they started as. Additionally, I have added a new main page to my site and it has no thumbnail what so ever in the pages app or the SEO app.

I dont know if it is unrelated or not, but there are red exclamation marks next to all of the page titles in the SEO app.

    •  Hi Chelsea, thank you for submitting to our Ucraft Forum! 👋

The thumbnails you see in your Pages or SEO App are automatically generated screenshots of your pages, which are only visible to you. In addition, the red exclamation points you see in your SEO App indicate that your pages are not fully optimized. Please make sure fill out all the necessary fields, including Title, Description and Social Image. Once you're done, simply hit save and you'll see a green check mark appear instead of the red exclamation point.

Please also keep in mind that when you makes changes to the information in your SEO app, the amount of time it takes for that information to be updated in search engines can take up to 4 days to 2 weeks or more.
