Employee Success Story: The Path that Led from Curiosity to Ownership

  • updated 3 yrs ago

Our Architecture Owner Tigran Mesropyan joined Ucraft in early 2017 to bring his experience as a developer to his new position. But he did not stop there, and Tigran is now not only the Backend Team Lead but also Ucraft’s Architecture Owner.

During this interview, he provides more insight into his growth at Ucraft, as well as the importance of teamwork and personal qualities that are necessary for career growth. Let’s see what we can learn from his impressive success story!

  1. So, after five years at Ucraft, can you pinpoint the moment you realized you made the right decision to choose to work here?
From my very first working day at Ucraft, I experienced a warm and cheerful environment. I became acquainted with many interesting and unique people and was impressed by the technologies being used by the company. It was exciting to work with Cloud Technologies using Google products.

  2. Tell us a bit about your current role - how has it evolved, and how do you see it evolving in the future?

I joined Ucraft as a developer and grew to take on the roles of Architecture Owner and Backend Team Lead, which are both very exciting positions for me. My current positions are a combination of programming and employee management, requiring teaching skills and patience. I like working with people, sharing my knowledge with them, all while learning from them simultaneously!

To be honest, I can’t envision my next role right now, but one thing is sure: I will always remain a curious developer hungry to learn more.

  3. How would you describe the work environment at Ucraft in three words - what is one thing that can happen only at Ucraft?
    Colorful, Bright, and Hectic.

For me, what makes Ucraft unique is that I have experienced genuine friendships with my colleagues both inside and outside of the office walls.

  4. Do you have a specific memorable accomplishment - something you are most proud of that you achieved at Ucraft?
Yes, I do. First of all, my career. Secondly - our product. Our builder experienced a long and fruitful journey of upgrades and improvements, boosting the quality to great lengths. The immense amount of knowledge and practice that I have accumulated is incredibly valuable for me.

  5. How do you define success? What qualities can make a person successful at Ucraft?

I strongly believe that you can become successful if you genuinely love your work. To be successful in an industry, people need to learn and practice a lot, and that process should be continuous.

Hardworking individuals who are willing to learn and grow are always successful here.

  6. Is there anything you wish you knew before you started working here?
To be honest, no. I like surprises and obstacles. I am open to surprises, and I enjoy overcoming obstacles.

  7. As a close-up, share with us a fun fact about you that nobody knows!
Maybe the fact that I adore painting, and I would have become a painter were I not a developer.
